Better RoadS, Safer CitY
When you leave our home and visit other cities across the country, it becomes obvious: Tucson is a gem. The mountains, the food, the cacti, the people, the University, the weather, and the rich mixture of cultures; all of it adds up to a special place we call home.
And right now, our home needs some repairs. Tucson’s roads need fixing. Our fire trucks and police patrol cars are old. We’ve got fire stations built in the 50s and 60s that need refurbishing.
We’ve got a plan to make some needed improvements in our roads and in our Police and Fire Department infrastructure. We’ll pay for it by raising our City’s sales tax by ½ a cent, for the next five years. If you live in Tucson, you will get to vote on this plan in May, 2017.
